Guest vlodeck Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Hello, I have Active Sync 3.8 installed on my Windows 98 (not SE). I cannot install newer version of windows (won't explain) :) . When I connect my mpx200 (WM05) to usb, Active Sync doesn't detect it. When I connect my brother's mpx200 (WM2003SE). I can not install newer version on Active Sync because 3.8 is the latest working on Win98. I would like to mention that I can't upgrade my mobile for example to WM Power Moto, because while flashing I get an error to re-upgrade my mobile or contact the service. What can be done? Virtual beer for everyone ;) .
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 The fun of using ilegal software on your device :) Basically you have to use the newer Activesync so your only option if you still want to sync your device is to upgrade the OS on your PC so you can install Activsync. Not the best answer but you do not really have much choice apart from not syncing the phone.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 It has never been released on the MPX200 So if you have it on an MPX200 you have an unreleased "leaked" copy that you are not licenced to use.
Guest Seth Cold Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 actually, same happens with my tornado... i have a win98 pc @ the office... and can`t use activesync :), since wm5 needs as 4.x and win98 doesnt go beyond as 3.8
