Guest farique Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Hi guys, Ive had my tornado for quite awhile now...still enjoying it. Just wondering if there are any browsers that allow full screen landscape web browsing on the WM5 smartphone. also... does opera have a working version of its browser from WM5 QVGA Smartphones? I went to their site and could not find a suitable download for the tornado. any thoughts? cheers :)
Guest TripleB Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Try Opera Mini, it is a java app that works real well for browsing, including gmail (via personalized google page) and just about any other page. Also, i recommend the java app for google maps (forgot the name, but is a pleasure to use). BB

Guest jasnewt Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 care to elaborate more? any alternate browsers im getting fed up of PIE's limitations... :) Just as a warning I tried installing MultiIE and despite claiming compatibility with WM5 Smartphones it totally screwed up my phone, and I had to hard reset. Even the layout of the settings screen gave the impression that it really hadn't been tested properly on a smartphone. If anyone does have it working properly I'd be interested to hear. Jason.
