Guest Iteki Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 I have been tearing my hair out looking for a suitable adapter for headphones for this baby.... You would think a 4 pole, 2.5 female to 3.5 male would be easy enough to find surely? Ideally I want to get one that goes in regular and has maybe even a retracting function with the answer-buttons and mic in the retractor? What are you all using? Cos I know you aren't useing the awful headset it came with, right? What's the best screen protector to use? I am starting to get marks :) I saw these "soundbag" style cases and thought that could be cool for trips, it's like a hard case with a built-in speaker. Anyone using something similar or tried it? Would be nifty with a rechargable one that also worked as a battery-booster if need be, no? http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&a...&q=soundbag
Guest hotphil Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 I think www.expansys.com have a few and I think there were a few threads a couple of pages back about their replacement stylii and screen protectors. Imagine they do headset adaptors too.
Guest Iteki Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Scuse the delay and thanks for the reply phil! Was actually hoping for specific reccommendations. Been testing a few different adapters and so far I have found a) loads of 2.5mm jacks that don't fully insert into the phone, and :) one that does, but that scrambles the sound. So I daren't buy something online without knowing in advance it's good to go. I have meantime bought some heat-shrink cable so I can try butcher the headset I already have. I bought a "stiff" screen protector (for like 20 euros!!) and of course managed to cut it unevenly, so it looks s***. I have now bought a 3 pack of "soft" screen protectos, so I am going to try experiment with them too. Any tips on the adapter end of things? What's people using themselves?
