Best email

Not quite a phone problem but more of a email problem.

I am finding its takes between 2 - 24 hours for a email being sent to it actually arrives in my inbox (pc or phone).

spoke to orange and was told as long as I receive it then they don't care how long it takes.

I liked the orange email for the free text message to let you know emails had arrived in your inbox.

Now my question is can anybody recommend a email service that has the same feature that is reliable.
