Maybe it's just me, but I thought that part of getting a new XDA IQ from O2 with WiFi would allow me to ditch the silly USB cables and connect to my PC directly through a wireless connection.

After a few days of clicking furiously, plugging and unplugging, creating new wireless networks, uninstalling and installing activesync, soft and hard reseting I'm going nuts :D

I think it is just me........unless anyone can tell me differently?

I'm running XP SP2 with a Wireless PCI card installed. My connection to the internet is by a wireless router plugged directly into the phone line.

My XDA can connect to the wireless network via the router and browse the net etc etc.

But I have to plug in my USB cable to sync or transfer files?????

;) I FEEL CHEATED!!!

:) Can someone help??

NO THANKS!

I've spent hours with my Mpx220 fiddling with my dongle :)

I know I can get that to work, but I was kinda hoping that I wouldn't have to - because I've now got "wireless" technology.

I really can't believe that it's not supported. That's so lame. All that technology and you still have to plug it in.

There must be a way to get it to work.........

Anyone???

Doesn't Resco Explorer allow you to view and transfer files with a wireless network? Not exactly active sync but worth a look?

I think the line from Microsoft is that AS over WiFi was omitted from WM5 because of security worries, which kinda makes sense really
