Guest mike_secco Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 hi i am having the following problems with my phone... what should i do? -cannot find other phones to connect with via bluetooth even though they are set as discoverable however i can receive files via bluetooth -sms's sometimes will not send, even though i press the send button it just stays in the section where you type text, if i try save the types message then it saves it but without any of the text i had. -sometimes sms's come in and i can see some of the words before opening it in the inbox. however once i go to read the message it is blank. -my gprs only occasionaly works, most of the time it comes up with errors before loading the page. Whats wrong with my phone, it hasnt always been doing this. its an 02 xphone II. should i do a hard reset? how do i do that?
Guest Crispy Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Sounds to me that a Hard Reset would be the way to go, however, especially the bluetooth/GPRS problems sound a bit more fishy, so might not fix those. Anyway, as I recall this procedure works on the XP2 too: 1. Power off the phone and unplug it from the computer. 2. Press and hold soft1 and soft2 keys. 3. Press and hold power button for around 1 to 1.5 seconds. Release power button. Keep hold soft1 and soft2 keys. 4. Later, screen shoould show instructions to ask user to press '0' key to reset to factory default. 5. Press '0' within the timeout period, which is only several seconds only. 6. If no instruction is shown on the screen, repeat steps 1 to 4. Timing is sensitive
