Guest miketigerwoods Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 I woke up this morning to find my smt5600 in all sorts of trouble. I flashed it to WM5 months ago, and right now I have the No Service message and icon for the antenna, and the battery has the "!" icon but is fully charged. Also, I can only run programs that are listed in the top, meaning I can't access the start menu, nothing happens when I press the soft key. When pressing the Contacts soft key, all that happens is the word Contacts flashes at the top, but goes back to the main screen. Finally, where it used to say "No appointments" it is now completely blank with no message. Any ideas what happened? I tried restarting the phone and trying a hard reset but I was never able to get that to work and tried reseating the SIM card and miniSD card. When starting up it takes about 4 minutes to get past the Mobile Operator screen.
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 Keep trying to do the hard reset, sometimes it need practice. It's possible but unlikely that you have a keypad fault and the phone thinks a key is being pressed?
