Guest mini_man Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) Heya was flicking through freeview channels tonight and saw this question that no one could answer. I was sitting there watching and thinking how could no one at all get the answer too this question with a prize of Edited July 31, 2006 by mini_man
Guest danwatson1974 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) 10+32+18 = 60? Probably much too obvious and therefore , wrong :) Edited July 31, 2006 by danwatson1974
Guest mini_man Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) Quick reply but alas no sorry! EDIT: Interested to know how you got 18? Edited July 31, 2006 by mini_man
Guest hoopmaster51890 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 10+32+12=54 maybe??? i think danwatson1974 was right, this is probably a trick question or sumthin, so im probably wrong lol
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Now I would have said the sum of all the numbers on the keypad as the other questions are sums of. So 45 (+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9) 32 (8X4) 12 (4X3) Total 89 But........... What if you then needed to include the spare wheels on the taxies? I that's the case then add another 3 to the total which gives you 92 ;) Now I need a cut of the winnings :)
Guest bennish Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+32+12=89? damn! awarner just beat me what about the steering wheels? Edited July 31, 2006 by bennish
Guest conan_troutman Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 numbers on key pad 10 dogs legs = 32 taxi wheels= 12 or 15 (stearing wheel) or 18 (as above plus the spare) so if we add all the numbers you get 1+0+3+2+1+2 or 1+0+3+2+1+5 0r 1+0+3+2+1+8 or if you wanted to really throw it wide open try 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+0+3+2+1+2 or 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+0+3+2+1+5 0r 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+0+3+2+1+8 then when you get a two digit answer do you then add them too till your down to just a single number??? its all bloody con
Guest mini_man Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) *BING* All above are Incorrect EDIT :Read the hint in the description Edited July 31, 2006 by mini_man
Guest Matt Kirby Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I'll go for three then (or maybe four!).
Guest w411y Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 How do you know which answers right Sam?
Guest chrisvanbrunschot Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I think it either should be 1 (if you only count the NUMBERS) or 3 (if you count the NUMBER and NUMBERS) or 2 and 4 if you also count "add all the NUMBERS"
Guest conan_troutman Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) ok so the actula answer is 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9= 47 sorry typo 45 Edited July 31, 2006 by conan_troutman

Guest mini_man Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 The closest so far has been Matt Kirby with 11 and I can see how he got that number. HINT: Look within the text
Guest conan_troutman Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) ok as this kind off stuff drives me nuts ( I have a 158 IQ and watched the same show the quizzes are obviously derived by morons as the answers never ever make bloody sense (the great big british quiz I think)) I would have to say the answer is 2 numbers on a dial pad add the numbers = 2 or its 9 (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9=45) 4+5 = 9 other htan that I quit thats the word numbers twice so the answer is 2 obvoiusly I avoided the 8+3 as thats the 11 but it could be 4+5+8+3=20 but then 2+0=2 so I am back to two again or 45+8+3 which is 56 but 5+6 is 11 which we know is wrong however 1+1 is 2 anyone confused yet? Edited July 31, 2006 by conan_troutman
Guest mini_man Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 no, read the question carefully and think about all the information you have in that box.
Guest jonlad Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) Is it twelve ? In the text there is a "one" in phone, an "eight" and a "three". Answer = 12 ? Edit: Or is it thirteen I've just seen another "legs ON Eight..." ? Edited July 31, 2006 by jonlad
Guest fluffcat1 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) 1?(Or possibly 2 if they're being pedantic.) There is only one instance of 'numbers' inside the box. Does the box mean anything? Richard Edited July 31, 2006 by fluffcat1
Guest mini_man Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) Is it twelve ? In the text there is a "one" in phone, an "eight" and a "three". Answer = 12 ? Edit: Or is it thirteen I've just seen another "legs ON Eight..." ? Wrong but definetly the closest. BTW legs ON Eight doesnt have a one because they have to be whole and not shared words. Your getting close guys Sam Edited July 31, 2006 by mini_man
Guest jm012a9749 Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 (edited) Wrong but definetly the closest. BTW legs ON Eight doesnt have a one because they have to be whole and not shared words. Your getting close guys Sam 14? Phil [EDIT: Method: number of the word number (3) added to eight and three, so 3+8+3=14, but still wrong :)] Edited July 31, 2006 by jm012a9749
