Guest w411y Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I am wickedly bored :) What better to do than learn something new eh? ;) Need your opinions guys... I want to be able to create an icon resource file to use along with RJ Shortcuts and probably the Orange Plugin. I've had a read through those over at GPCarreon.com but they seem a bit long winded. Any quicker methods out there?
Guest w411y Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 Mods.. any chance of a move to Smartphone Customisation? Only 9 views in here :)
Guest w411y Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 Never mind found a method for myself using a resource hacker and a plugin for photshop that allows you to save as .ico :)
Guest Jamma14 Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 (edited) Never mind found a method for myself using a resource hacker and a plugin for photshop that allows you to save as .ico :) Been away so missed your post, but yeah I use the same method myself, it is the easiest by far imo. Guest w411y Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 I had a feeling this would bring you out of hiding :) I was hoping to use them with RJ Shortcuts but its just not the same as the Orange plugin. So yeah Orange plugin it is then
Guest Jamma14 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I had a feeling this would bring you out of hiding :) I was hoping to use them with RJ Shortcuts but its just not the same as the Orange plugin. So yeah Orange plugin it is then Lol, actually I've been in Barcelona ;) Pity the weather aint so good back here... Now it's summer and I have some more free time I might start work on a new homescreen myself, and finally update the Mac and Xp ones... So what's this new homescreen of yours based on? Fancy showing a preview? James
Guest w411y Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 (edited) Just a Vista/WMP11 mash up thing lol I was hoping to put shortcuts on the bottom like you did on the bottom of your Mac but without using the Orange plugin (winging people) but RJ shortcuts aint having none of it (actually come to think of it it might work with icon-spacing) but I think I'll use Facade to stick the shortcuts at the bottom. But now I can make an icon resource file I might aswell make a homescreen with the Orange plugin :) Bout time we saw something new from you me thinks. I know DrBlows in hiding because hes working on some sort of zooped up commercial thing ;) Edit: Your always on holidays! The weather here has been amazing except this week. August is supposedly bringing more record temperatures :D Edited August 2, 2006 by w411y

Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 Editing an existing an icon resource file would be the easiest way but creating your own is fun and challenging. :) Moved to SP Customisation Section
Guest w411y Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Editing an existing an icon resource file would be the easiest way but creating your own is fun and challenging. ;) Quite right. No offence to your guides if I was up for the challeng on the day I would of used them. Your site is a wonderful resource to me and I know if I'm looking for a guide of some sort I'll know its there somewhere :D But yeh I did it the lazy way and doesn't look as if I'm going to use it just yet. But now I've learnt I'll use it next time :)
