hi. while tryin to install a game with active sync it says i only have 2.5mb left on my phone and the game is 3.5mb. well i got more than enough room on the memory card but i find it annoying having to go thru my phone and figure out wat to delete and stuff. is there some sort of registry settings that change it so itl put the temporary setup files on the storage card too?

From what i can recall, when installing CAB files from desktop , the ceappmgr reads the INI then a copy of the CAB is sent temporarily to \Storage\windows\AppMgr\Install (WM2003 SE) for installation. The Smartphone CAB Installer and Configuration Manager will then process the .cab file, decompresses and extract its contents. Once executed, the CAB over at \Install folder will be automatically deleted.

So if for example you have 2Mb space left on the phone but is installing a 3.5Mb CAB file, you are most likely to encounter an error telling you that there is not enough space on the phone for the installation.

What I do in this case is copy the CAB to a folder on the Storage Card, open the folder using a file explorer then run it from there. As for a reg modification, I am not aware if a tweak like that exists.
