Guest tempie23 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 hey all- there must be an easy way to do this, but i'm unable to figure it out. all i need to do is import all of my SIM contacts into normal windows mobile-based contacts. i'm tired of having to scroll through all of the contacts instead of just using the 'jump-to letter' feature of windows mobile 5. is there an app out there that can do this en-masse? i've got a t-mobile sda converted to the latest i-mate sp5m rom... thanks! tempie23

Any ideas anyone? tempie23 I fixed it... I took the SIM Manager App from my 8125 and installed it on my SDA. That did it the trick! Thanks! tempie23 I wonder why that app wasn't included in the ROM?
Guest Fizz76 Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 I have the same problem with my qtek 8310. I want to transfer my SIM contacts to the phone but there is no SIM Manager installed on this handset. Unfortunately I dont have a copy of SIM manager from another phone. Can someone provide a copy of the program? I found these links for SIM managers but I haven't had much luck. 1) http://diysoft.nm.ru/readme_eng.htm I couldn't paste the .cab file to my phone so I assume I can't install unsigned applications. I'll have to look into this. 2) http://www.shubaroo.com/index.php?module=sim_manager I could install this to my phone but when I click on the program it just flashes a list of my contacts to the screen for one second and then closes. When I then look in Contacts they syill have the SIM icon beside them. I'm not sure where they have been copied. I don't think aything has happened. BTW - This is my first smartphone and I'm not getting too far with it. Am I best off synching SIM contacts with Outlook and then synching back to the device?
