Free SMS website?

Hi, I was just wondering if there was a website through which i could send text messages. It would be a lot cheaper to send text messages at 3cents/kb than at 25cents/SMS.

In the downloads section under smartphone freeware/uncategorized there is a program called smsclient (here it is) it's a java client that allows you to connect to your own pc (or a server you can install the server portion on). It connects to genietexter and then using a service you have to sign up for (after you install genietexter you can download a long list of services, all of which include their url so you can findout how to signup for one) it sends the sms. After you set up your account you can use the genietexter client on a pc and text with that as well.

Basically your phone connects to a server, it sends the text using genietexter through a service you sign up for. I played around with genietexter a bit and liked it, but I don't text (I guess I'm not hip enough). And since I'm on T-Mobile java programs can't connect to the net, so even if I did text a lot this wouldn't be an option. I'm not sure about T-Mobile in Europe, but it doesn't work here in the states. Of course this has also prevented me from using google maps mobile. Damn you T-Mobile!
