No sound from media player

I have a Qtek 8020 whic works fine except that when I try to play an MP3 no sounds comes out. System sounds play fine. Any ideas?

Sounds silly but....Is the volume down on your media player? It has it's own volume control. Press up on your direction pad while in WMP. You'll see the volume percentage go up.
