C600 Rom issues

What is the best rom to run on the C600?

Basically.. I got the phone from orange, tried to run TomTom on it.. TomTom just randomly crashes out mid navigation.

I read the posts on the forum about getting the phone unlocked which have done.. then I installed the MoDaco modified rom which just seems to have made my phone run like a dog.

I cant even get tomtom passed the select map stage before it dies.

I couldnt figure out which Imate rom to download. The one I did download didnt work saying the phone was the wrong version.

Can some one please just sort me out with a step by step guide with exact version numbers of the rom I should use to give me a stable working copy of tom tom 5 on my C600.

This whole thing is driving me nuts.. very close to binning the lot and going back to my P910i

hi i have an xda exec and mine crashes now and again but one i have learnt is make sure you have the file ( currentmap ) in mydevice/mydocuments/tomtom as this often goes missing when performing a clean up on mine :)

I've got the iMate v2 english ROM on mine. It's probably quite old now but it works. Tomtom 5.2 working fine too. I've read a few good things on here about the qtek 8000 ROM though...
