Upgrading SPV M600 Rom to iMate Rom

Hi thinking about upgrading my rom on my Orange phone.

Window Mobile 5.0

OS 5.1.195 (Build 14847.2.0.0)

Rom 2.10.1.22.WWE

Date 2/16/06

Radio 02.07.20

Protocol 413.1.03

ExtRom 2.10.1.107

Operator 13.10.1.107

It tends to crash a bit and get a little sticky from time to time and i hear that the imate rom is better. Is there any truth in this?

I know where to get the files from (so no need to help out there!), and will probably be able to follow instructions on the process when i find some (pointers welcomed), but is it worth the effort?

Has anyone successfully done this from an SPV M600 and notice the benefits, and if so, what are those benefits? :)

Also i assume that all the defualt Orange details & settings (voicemail number, wap access etc.) will be lost in the process?
