I have a couple of mobile devices being used at the same time (C500, Imate SP5m and MDA Vario)

now Im sure I checked that each adapter (chargable adapter) supplied gave out the same current/voltage. Obviously its better to use the adapter given with the box but I didnt want to have to unplug and then get the other adapter out the box to charge one of the devices....

however I have noticed that my Imate SP5m battery gets pretty warm during charging - I am a bit concerned. How can I find out if the charger is ok to be used on this? As well as this, the chargers are now all messed up so I don't know which one is which - how can I determine which charger is for which device?

Check the battery rating to the charger each charger should have a larger rating than the battery. You will probably find they are the same chargers.

Batteries do get warm when charging, when I am changing mine from the USB on the pc it happens. It all depends on the state of the battery at time of charge.

they all use the same mini usb power connector so which charger you use wont be a problem. and batteries do get warm while charging. nothing is 100% efficient so you'll find the energy that is not used for charging your battery is effectively wasted as heat energy. like ash said, how warm the battery get depends on the state of the battery at the time and also the rate of discharge from the battery at the time. for instance when charging my battery with WiFi off it rarely gets over 35C. however when i have wifi on the increased discharge causes more heat to be generated so i can see battery temperature got up to 45C :)

LOL at the images...nice

thanks for the info, im just a bit concerned as I've never had it before but Im pretty sure I checked to see if the voltages etc.. for each charger were the same and they were therefore I decided to only keep out one charger and use the rest when I need to.

Thanks :)
