Guest coleburg Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 ive got the sp5m which is amazing, only problem is the camera but how about this UBiQUiO 401 http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=136466 Windows mobile 5 Wifi 2,1 mega pixel camera better processor fm radio Surely this is the full package- Has anyone seen this phone?
Guest Pondrew Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Very nice but bear in mind it's a Pocket PC Phone rather then a Smartphone and so has touch screen (altho still features a slide out keypad). I'd also expect the battery life to be worse then your HTC Tornado (SP5m) Smartphone...
Guest nevawlkalone Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Does look nice, but for a PPC if there is to be a slide out keyboard i would prefer a full qwerty personally!
Guest Pondrew Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Also on the subject of battery life, just noticed that the battery included is a relatively low powered 840Mah one which given the faster processor could be a disasterous combination! What good is a device is it barely lasts a day on a full battery :)
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Don't forget this is not a Smartphone but a PocketPC
Guest mandt Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Thats the Gigabyte g smart isn't it? also has a tv tuner, which would make battery life even worse. also that screen looks far too small for decent touch screen use, plus the WiFi doesn't connect to 'g' networks... and I'd hate to edit an excel or word document with that keypad! Probably a good phone for people who want the PocketPC OS but the form factor of a Smartphone (crossover device maybe?) but I suspect regular PPC users would get frustrated by the inadequacies of it Not trying to put your thread down here but all in all if you can live without the TV tuner and FM radio I'd say the Hermes is a much more 'complete' device IMO
