New AKU 2.3 whats the deal with it?

I just read that they release a new AKU 2.3 when will there be a new imate rom release for it?

Also could the new HTC Meteor firmware work with a SP5m/SDA since it is a similar device and it has the new AKU 2.3? I wonder?

Im currently using rom 2.0.8.0, operator v. 2.6.333.1, radio 4.0.13.25._01.14.00 :)

WM5 Smartphone AKU 2.3 New Features

With the latest WM 5.0 AKU 2.3 release for Smartphones, Microsoft added some useful features to its Smartphone platform, including a file explorer and a slightly modified Start menu.

Microsoft always uses these AKU releases to either fix bugs or to add new features and while most stuff and changes are under the hood, these two new features can be seen and used by the users and both adds more convenience to the Smartphone use.

The new HTC Mteor has AKU2.3 installed from purchase. Can't say I notice much difference between this and the older AKU2 on my Tornado. Except a few new bugs :) , and the OS is so locked down it cannot be application unlocked. Until someone fgures a solution for the latter, I'd steer clear.
