Guest nedge2k Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Germany rejoice \o/ The MDA Vario II is due for release on the 14th of this month: T-Mobile is launching MDA Vario II which will support, right from the start HSDPA. T-Mobile Germany's HSDPA networks offers at the moment bandwidths of up to 1.8 megabits/second and that's across the whole T-Mobile UMTS network! Users of this Windows Mobile 5.0 features Pocket PC Phone Edition can surf the Internet via web'n'walk at an ultrafast speed and access the information and entertainment services they need from anywhere. Those using the device for business will appreciate the high speed when downloading E-Mails with large attachments or researching online for example. Besides HSDPA, the integrated EDGE and W-LAN technologies in MDA Vario II also enable high-speed experience whilst on the move. Expect to pay around
Guest chucky.egg Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 I'm sorry, but that colour scheme looks awful I can see people leaving T for O because of that! :)

Guest adchaffey Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Forget the colour its all about the unlimited internet and O can whistle their packages suck. That's what i like to hear!
Guest sxywill2005 Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Those colours are nice... it looks more of a red/magenta tone. I would much prefer a white one to match my SPV C600 :)
Guest adchaffey Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 I think i'm going to reserve judgement till i see one in the flesh. But theres one thing that I'm 100% clear on. Whoever thought that red/magenta keyboard colour matched the bright pink of the T-Mobile today screen needs shooting, or firing, or at least an eye test!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 T-Mobile WnW + SIM free unot methinks :) P

Guest SirGaz Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Been ino T-Mob today and they said that an email was sent this morning saying that the launch day is 16th August. And yes, that is this year! Asked about price and was told it may not be as expensive as Orange, and may be cheaper with a web & walk addon. Although obviously there are no guarantees

Guest Kausor Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Yep, this was in Sheffield in the UK. Roll on Wednesday! Fargate or Meadowhall store? Am keen to ditch Orange and go with T-mobile.
Guest SirGaz Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Fargate. The guy in the store didn't know but some other T-Mob employee overheard the conversation and told us about the email, he wanted one too so he was looking out for it.
Guest musicvan Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Was in the local t-mobile shop this morning and asked about vario 2 launch dates & prices, first person did not know and directed me towards the compact 2 but another said it would be this month but no firm dates yet. On the colour debate I spotted this on the t-mobile company site, the keyboard is not the pink/purple one shown above, but might be an early prototype before t-mobile added their branding-> http://www.telekom3.de/en-p/medi/3-ne/2006...photoNr=17.html
