Guest goochy1 Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Hi all, On Friday we found out that 4 old housemates would return to the house next door and then one would go back into that main house and elligable for the
Guest adchaffey Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Well the profits from the vote to decide the 4 that go back in to the house next door are being donated to charity, so I'm not sure it's a scam. And believe me, I love a conspiracy theory, but i can't really see it here. It's just another idea by Big Brother directors to spice up the process a little!

Guest chucky.egg Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Does anybody actually care any more? If they set up a premium rate number I'll call it to vote for the doors to be sealed shut.

Guest Laser_iCE Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 That's what the internet is for :)
Guest goochy1 Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 That's what the internet is for :) lol - yeah didn't think of that
Guest mini_man Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 anyone remember that doctor who episode last series when they did that? I sat there thinking "I wish this were true!"

Anyone who wastes their hard earned cash on calling these daft eviction things want their heads checking. Fair play to they guy who thought it up because he knew it would generate press for the program and all the people who called in would call again. Id be happy to be the one who welds the door shut with all the past and present occupants in it along with that dodgy bird who fronts it. Edited August 15, 2006 by kelv23
Guest goochy1 Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Id be happy to be the one who welds the door shut with all the past and present occupants in it along with that dodgy bird who fronts it. It still pulls in between 4 and 5 million viewers though. Davina is finishing now and Dermot of bblb is gonna do it (i believe) I think they'll only do one more then you'll be shot of it
Guest mcwarre Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Who actually has such an un-interesting life that they are addicted to complete trash such as this? BB should be treated like all politicians; don't vote it encourages them........ :)
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Whats strange is the watchdogs are investigating the company that provides the texting and calls back end, even though they have no part in the decision to re-open voting. Its the show production company that should be investigated!

Brilliant moneyspinner but the programs just plain boring...

Brilliant moneyspinner but the programs just plain boring... Don't want to start an argument, or indeed make myself look stupid, but I find the program pretty interesting. :) I'm not exactly addicted and only watch it if I'm not doing anything when it's on, but as I have an interest in psychology I do sometimes find it pretty rivetting. What i find interesting is the way the program directors (quite cleverly i think) create situations where people will respond differently. The 'buz word' of the show with psychologists is "group dynamics". Its amazing how people change according to who is around them and the situations they are in. Anyway, that's my humble opinion. But I'm going to stick my head on the line and say if you think the show is trashy, you're missing the bigger picture. Maybe I'm just naive but I don't think the show is just a voyeuristic excuse to watch people.

I still cant see the attraction for anyone other than psychologists etc to watch it tho as there never seems to be anything entertaining in it . Its just so overhyped/covered etc in the media that it puts me off it
Guest goochy1 Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Don't want to start an argument, or indeed make myself look stupid, but I find the program pretty interesting. ;) Your not the only one that finds it remotely interesting :) I think it is quite interesting (physcology wise) like you say the way people's reactions change. It is clever the situations BB gets them in. Finishes on Friday. Pete or Glyn 2 win goochy1
Guest adchaffey Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Pete or Glyn 2 win Yeah, I hear that! They're the two most genuine people i've seen in big bro.
Guest danwatson1974 Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Any programme that puts a load of vacuous narcissistic egomaniacs in a confined space is bound to be interesting in some way, isn't it :) Although , I have to say, I can only watch the edited highlights ... I tried watching 'Big Brother Live' the other day, because I quite literally had nothing else in the world to do, and after about half an hour it had sapped my will to live to such an extent that I came to the conclusion that actually, the oven could do with a bit of a clean.....
Guest goochy1 Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 I tried watching 'Big Brother Live' the other day Big Brother live is PANTS. It gets on my nerves so much with them blurring out about 4.5 minutes every 5minutes. They should make it BB 2 minutes later and they should just edit the swearing out b4 it goes out. Make it much more enjoyable. goochy1
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 They do time shift it, by about 15 mins iirc. And they do edit it, hence the blocked out sound :D
Guest jimbouk Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 And its not just the swearing they edit out. They have to edit out many conversations as they either breach broadcasting guidelines or could be slanderous to third parties (ie the contestants friends). I quite enjoy watching it sometimes.
Guest Monolithix (MVP) Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 I got the impression a lot of the blocked out sound was them discussing trademarked products.
Guest goochy1 Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 I got the impression a lot of the blocked out sound was them discussing trademarked products. I thought it was the stuff that they would put in the hour show
