"Deleted items" sometimes not synching back with Exchange

Sometimes I get a problem, where if i delete items on my mobile device (an O2 XDA) and perform or wait for it to sync - sometimes the deleted items don't go from the device, and my inbox (on an Exchange client) still shows the emails as UNREAD and in my INBOX - even though i've read them, and deleted them on my device...

Any ideas!?
