Guest kelv23 Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Whats the difference between these two programs? Im considering buying one or the other but really cant decide at the mo.
Guest scottb Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 These applications are quite different. Facade will display calendar and task data on your home screen. It also has an application launcher bar. It is a home screen plug-in X-Bar is a task manager. It also includes a built-in launcher. It's invoked with a keystoke. It lets you close applications and that are running in the background.
Guest Nubbing Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Will Facade communicate with the standard calendars and task programs that you get with WM5 or is it better to buy papyrus in order to use Facade?
Guest scottb Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 (edited) Will Facade communicate with the standard calendars and task programs that you get with WM5 or is it better to buy papyrus in order to use Facade? Facade will operate with or without Papyrus as it interfaces with the Outlook database on your device to display items on your home screen. Papyrus will offer a lot more functionallity over the built-in calendar and task applications, but is not necessary for Facade. If you choose to install both, they integrate nicely, and you can buy them both at the same time for a discount. Edited August 11, 2006 by scottb
