Guest typical10 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Okay, i found a feature where once i have sent an SMS, i get a message from "System Administrator" (which i thought would have been me :) ) telling me that my message has been delivered. Does this mean that the message is actually on the person-i-sent-it-to 's phone, or have they actually opened it, or is it just on some sort of SMS server?? Also, (a.k.a Problem #2) the size of the SMS is 160 characters before going into another message. I know SMS stands for SHORT messaging service but thats ridiculous! I tried sending it as 2 SMSs once and it treated it as one, but did it secretly charge me for 2 messages? It makes no sense to me! Any help woul be appreciated.
Guest Pondrew Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Hello! Right, the first item is a delivery report so it indicates that the text has arrived on the receiving phone. Secondly I'm afraid 160 characters for a single text message is the correct limit and yes you will be charged for two texts if you compose a message of over 160 characters. Hope this helps.
