Guest bobbykashyap Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 hola fellas... I have posted a device benchmarking of the following devices on my website IndiPPC.com 1. O2 XDA Exec 2. O2 XDA Atom Exec 3. O2 XDA IIi 4. Dopod 838 Pro. you can read the benchmark results here... http://www.indippc.com
Guest Ingvarr Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 After that, who will insist again that "Samsung 400Mhz = Intel 500Mhz"? :)

Guest Pondrew Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 I was surprised by the poor showing of the XDA Exec. And also surprised to see the XDA IIi putting up such high scores given it was the oldest device in the test!

And also surprised to see the XDA IIi putting up such high scores given it was the oldest device in the test! i guess XDA Exec's poor showing is coz of untweaked ROM and if im not wrong.. since its a VGA device... eats up more processing power.
Guest Pondrew Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 But the XDA IIi has an O2 tweaked rom itself and still manages several high scores. But as you say, it could be the VGA screen in the Exec that is sucking the performance...
Guest Ingvarr Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 VGA screen that sucks performance from processor-only benchmark (when screen is unused)? Thats new :) More likely this is result of different power management strategies.
Guest Pondrew Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Well, it's not my area of expertise and I haven't used the benchmark software so can't really comment.
