Guest nuco Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 HI I've searched the forum and read all the earlier posts but I didnt find answer to my problems.. I just got my hands on a QTek 8310 with 1Gb MiniSD card. I've updated the ROM to 2.0.9.0 I've installed some software like Farcade, Agile Messenger and RJV Tonesetter.... The phone was fully charged and worked nice... Yesterday when I charged it over night with the main power charger the light was solid orange as it should be and in the morning it was green. When I unplugged the phone it took like 30min and the battery was on low again. I turned off the phone and charged it again. It took about 4h and the light on the phone was green again. I turned on the phone and once again it took less then 30min before I get a warning that the battery was low. So I made a hard reset. Charged the phone again for 4 hours and I have the same problem still. Is it a battery problem? If so where can I buy a new battery with the same capacity as original battery? Places within Europe is a plus. If it's not the battery what can i do or try? The phone is sadly outside warranty as it seems.. :) Suggestions and tips are more than welcome right now.. Thank you...
Guest kam_ Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Most likely a cell in the battery has died. New batteries aren't that much.. between

This is a battery problem. If you "just" got it, you should have it replaced under waranty. If you want to buy a battery yourself, then search Ebay. Battery in Orange C550 is same. I found mine by searching for Dopod 858 of 585 (don't know for sure). Look after the 1150mAh! Some are only 750. if it's 1050 it should also be enough.
Guest nuco Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 Sorry for not answering sooner but just got home from a long business trip with my new phone. I found out that if I charge my phone with the USB cable connected to my laptop the phone charges 100% OK but if I use the main charger then it doesnt charge ... So I suspect that the main charger is broken and not the battery it self. Any recommendation for Ebay sellers that sell main power chargers with EU plug that means a plug that works in countries outside UK ? Thanx.. :D
