Audiovox 2125 backlight problem

Hello,

I recently upgraded from the Audiovox 5600 to the Audiovox 2125.

Sometimes the screen backlight does not go out/timeout and drains the battery.

Under Power Management setting it is set for timeout after 30 seconds.

I also have the light sensor enable set to off.

It happens arbitrarily and I can not find a way to reproduce it every time.

I re-installed the OS (operating system) from here, http://www.htcamerica.net/support/cingular..._downloads.html

AND IT DID NOT WORK!!!!!!!

The light still stays on forever.

Did you change any settings in the registry? That's all I can think of, the registry. BTW the 2125 is not an Audiovox.

Edit...Actually, how about under Setting, Homescreens, what is the timeout set to?

Ok one more edit......turn the light sensor on under the Settings, Power management so the key pad light doesn't turn on during the day and waste your battery.
