Guest proindigo Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 (edited) I was looking forward to getting tpyepad on the hermes, which sadly is not coming anymore... Is there a replacement package whcih is as good and perhaps more efficient that has been released that I could get? Secondly is there something that I use on this and my m600 to stop the damn screen flipping to the side whenever I inadvertently touch the screen or press the camera button..... Its freakin Anooying!! Anyone used calligrapher... is it worth paying to upgrade transcriber? Edited August 12, 2006 by Paul (MVP)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 You mean Phone Pad ;) You should check out Tengo, it's very good! http://free.tengo.net Calligrapher is good, download it and try the demo - i'm not a 'writing input' fan myself tbh, Phone Pad / Tengo all the way for me :) P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 How do you mean flipping to the side? re: the Camera button, why not map the camera function to press-hold instead of press, that'd fix that problem :) P

I used Pocket plus with summat else to remap buttons, but that's on M500 not WM5. Is this functionality now built in or what?

Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Vito ButtonMapper ( http://www.vitotechnology.com/en/products/buttonmapper.html ) is what i've always used - free Plus benefit - but not tried it on the Hermes yet. There was another, I can't remember the name right now tho :S P [Edit: AEBPlus, which can be found here (not free but free trial): http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php]
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 For press / hold functionality, give PQz a try: http://www.nicque.com/PQz/PQzII.htm Free, and does a ton of cool stuff! Manual here (it's complex!): http://www.nicque.com/PQz/DOC/index_e.htm P
