Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Hurrah, it's a HERM100, the nice looking one! The M3100 has some competition! :S P
Guest The Doctor Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Hurrah, it's a HERM100, the nice looking one! The M3100 has some competition! :S P Is it just me or does it look..... blacker?! Phil
Guest finisterre Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 The blue writing is a bit nastier than the Orange branding though. What's the diff between HERM 100 & 200, other than the front button layout?
Guest w411y Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Looks blacker to me. Probably the image?
Guest The Doctor Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 The blue writing is a bit nastier than the Orange branding though. Sugarcubes anyone? *shakes box* :) The HERM100 certainly looks better than the HERM200 IMHO tho Phil
Guest MPXtricky Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Hi all So what's the crack with these different keyboard layouts then? Orange have it right (imo) with a proper QWERTY layout, whilst the O2 Trion has the 'Z' and 'Y' keys transposed. The new T-Mobile Vario II has the normal QWERTY in some pics and the dodgy (imo) QWERTZ in others! ? I played with an O2 Xda mini S recently and really like the on-screen phone keyboard. From what I've read, these new, better specced machines won't have one - why is that? it seems daft to me. What am I missing? :)
Guest finisterre Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 QWERTZ keyboard is perhaps how German's have it? The French have AZERTY keyboards don't they (on regular PCs). Dunno 'bout on their Hermes variants though.
Guest NikLP Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 None more black! It's not competing really, if O/T-Mob are going to give me one for free, eh? :)
Guest Syphon Filter Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Looks nice...I like it a lot. Hopefully some of the problems I had with my TyTN will worked out by the time this thing is released. Will probably buy this instead of importing a Dopod 838Pro. What do you think Paul??
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 I think i'm LOVING my SPV M3100 hacked hybrid I now have :) No problems with it yet at all (not tried the A2DP stuff yet tho) P
Guest Syphon Filter Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 SPV M3100 hacked hybrid What have you done to it? Are you still running the Orange ROM that came on it? I'm really aching for a HERM100 device now...the cost of buying a device offline is actually comparable to getting an M3100 on a 12month Canary
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Let's call it a SPV M3100 / Dopod 838 Pro / TyTN hybrid :) P PS See the M3100s appearing on eBay?
Guest Syphon Filter Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Sounds like a real Frankenstein job you've done there :) I have seen them on ebay, I am very dubious about buying stuff like this from ebay though.
Guest Samsonite Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 None more black! beat me to it!! :) d'ya think the audio can cope with Dobly settings...!

Guest Pondrew Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Well, this looks nice, as does the SPV M3100, but I'm really digging the new pics circulating of the Vario II with white keyboard (that's right, not the red/pink/burgundy of the earlier released pics). The Hermes has got to be the most provider customised HTC model yet...
Guest MPXtricky Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 I hope the volume goes up to eleven! :D beat me to it!! :D d'ya think the audio can cope with Dobly settings...!
