Guest killerost Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 I found a nice article on airfagev about how you can convert nokia midlets into smartphone midlets. But to be honest, I think it's too much work.. so I came up with my own idea: My smartphone is a Qtek 8300 and I'm using "Intent Midlet Manager", the program that came with this phone, and also many other HTC phones, so this discription might not be 100% correct for your phone. 1. Download the "nokiacom.zip" file attached. 2. Find the file called "rofs_target.zip", it's default location is in the directory "\application data\tao\intent\", it's also located in the "\windows\" directory, but that's not the one we're after. :) 3. Copy it from your device to your PC. 4. Unzip the file "nokiacom.zip" to a directory called "nokiacom" and the file "rofs_target.zip" to a directory called "rofs_target". 5. Inside the "nokiacom" directory is another directory called "com", copy this directory into the "rofs_target" directory, so that the contents of "nokiacom"'s "com" directory goes into "rofs_target"'s "com" directory. 6. Enter the "rofs_target" directory and zip-archive the four directories and the "midp.tcx" file into a zip file called "rofs_target.zip" 7. Copy the NEW "rofs_target.zip" file over the OLD "rofs_target.zip" file on the device. This was the very basic, step-by-step version. I've also prepared a fixed "rofs_target.zip" file that can be downloaded HERE, just copy it over your old "rofs_target.zip" file and you're ready to go.. ;)Nokiacom.zip
