c600 mic sensitivity

I am moving from a c500 to the c600 (awaiting delivery) and wondered if any of you have had both and are able to offer a comparison of the performance of the speakerphone between the two?

I was speaking to someone on the phone who had a c600 and when they switched to speakerphone I could hardly hear them and they assure me they were only about 1-2 ft from the handset at the time.

I use the speakerphone on my c500 a lot and talk quite comfortably from about 3 ft away and have never had any complaints from people I talk to.

Is the Mic not as sensitive on the c600?
