Orange Ext Rom - What is inside each file?

Hi all.

I've hard reset my M3100 and then soft reset before the customization stage. This has given me a clean device without all the orange rubbish. But there are a few things in the extended ROM that I think I would like to have installed...

- Orange custom dialer keypad

- MMS and internet connection settings

I've mounted the rom and can see the following cabs:

CAB: \Extended_ROM\MT_PC_Hermes_Orange_REG_060612.CAB

CAB: \Extended_ROM\MT_Shortcut-MMS-Hermes.CAB

CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_defaulthtm.CAB

CAB: \Extended_ROM\PP_Fix_ShowTodayTheme.cab

CAB: \Extended_ROM\HERMES_UK_BUILD_93_CLOCK.CAB

Does anyone know how I can see what's in each cab? Greatful for any help.

Not yet, as I've not received my device.

When I do I'll post a full list of everything in there. Probably Orange-centric, but who knows.

In the meantime, if you're handy with a PC, I guess you could copy the files over to your desktop and examine the files manually. I think I'm right in saying CAB files can be opened similarly to ZIP files.

Any update on this. A friend of mine has just bought the M3100. I've advised him to stop the installation of all the orange cr@p and just install the cabs from the extended rom, but I don't know which ones he needs to install!
