Guest johntheo Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Here's the file in zip format. Just unzip to any new folder and then: Read the licence agreement Connect your SPV to the cradle and ensure Activesync is running Click on the exe file and watch the transfer in the small dos window. When "finish" appears in the dos window close it and remove your SPV from the cradle Press the "Programs" softkey and navigate to the last page Select and open the "Outlook Notes" folder and there should be your all your Notes! This program is a one off solution - it will at present not update previously transferred notes. If you have 2 notes of the same name in Outlook then only one will be transferred, unless you rename it first These issues and other refinements could be addressed if there is enough interest. Please consider this a Beta version for testing and copy your comments and suggestions direct to me as well as posting to the forum.
Guest Treadsoftly Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Once you have the folder installed on your SPV: I explored to IPSMWindowsStart Menu, and then found the folder. I have relabelled it 'My Portable Files', and have put in readable html versions of Word files, and can read them on the SPV. If you were doing it yourself, just keep the Outlook Notes file if you want, and create a new Folder in this directory. It shows up in the Programs list fine Hooray!
Guest Treadsoftly Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 SPV IE will read plain text files placed in this folder too.
