Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Cool little blog service that let's your 360 Blog to you. Takes your game history and time played or not played and writes little blurbs automatically based on that information. http://www.360Voice.com
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 An interesting idea if you implemented it on your phone. It could know where you've been, who you've called, who you've texted. Actually, muff and I spoke about such a concept before :) P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 They must have heard you and stole it for the XBOX. It is a little clever service...the phone service you mentioned would be great. A blogging Journal of sorts.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Yeah. Come on then Nick, let's make it! :) P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Okay....Let's Brainstorm!!!! First we combine functions of CamerAware and SmartJournal and merge them into "MoDaCo SmartMobileMate" :) - Application is started on Smartphone. - GPS retreives GPS location (or GSM Tower Locations, if you're up to it) and writes it to a log at user defined intervals (15, 30, 60 minutes) - At the same time, the program polls the call history and notes new entries based on the time/date of the previous poll. - Then the program polls the sent folders in messaging noting TIME, DATE, TO, FROM, SUBJECT, MESSAGE, (if polling email and/or MMS messages as well, user defined KB maximum) - Information is written to an XML file in three basic types: LOCATION, CALLS, MESSAGES
<date="12-31-06"/> <time="12:59:00"/> <lat="0000.0000"/> <lon="0000.0000"/> <cellname="Home"/> <city="Mount Laurel"/> <state="NJ"/> ...get as detailed as you like (read....make it a celltrack replacement too!)

<date="12-31-06"/> <time="12:59:00"/> <duration="2700"/> \\in seconds <calltype="outgoing"/> \\incoming, outgoing, missed <to="John Doe"/> \\username when incoming <from="username"/> \\contact name when incoming

<date="12-31-06"/> <time="12:59:00"/> <msgtype="sent"/> \\sent, received <to="John Doe"/> \\username when received <from="username"/> \\contact name when received <text="hello. I'm on my way"/>
- Data can be further manipulated (deleted once polled), or counted (12 calls), etc. - Data gets sent to the "blog" at predefined intervals (every 6, 12, 24, hours) - When the data is send to the blog, it is purged from the phone. - When the data is sent to the blog, a reference date/time is written to the app so that when it polls, it doesn't poll anything OLDER than that date and time. A Blog entry could look like this: NICK had an uneventful day today. He didnt travel at all, staying at HOME in MOUNT LAUREL, NJ all day long. He did at least try to communicate with the outside world, making ONE PHONE CALL to JOHN and sending ONE TEXT MESSAGE to JOHN. Let's hope things pick up for NICK. When the owner is Logged into the website: Click HERE to see your Call List. Click HERE to see your Travel Log Click HERE to see your Messages - Maintenance tools could be included to purge the website call log, travel log, or messages.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 That's cool... but actually having to use GPS kinda sucks, as you're not connected most of the time. CellID would work better - but other than that, cool. You could even try really clever things like: PAUL browsed the web for 10 minutes then he must have gone to bed. At least he left me for the night! Can you believe it? PAUL turned me off for 3 hours! Hope nobody was trying to get hold of him! I think PAUL was on the toilet again... he was playing Bubble Breaker for a full 10 minutes! :) P
Guest nickcornaglia Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 I'm all for the CELLID over GPS, especially since I dont currently own a GPS....(/me strays off to ebay) :D - Is this a Modaco Blog Replacement? - Could this be configured to blog to WordPress, Movable Type, Typepad, etc Blogs, as a second author, or to a side blog? - If Location data will be full featured, could the data be manipulated in other ways, like CellTrack, for sigs or sidebars, etc. (All with a little modaco link) ;) This could be part of the MoDaCo Smartphone Suite, also including Moblogging/blogging tools, and other web-integrated tools. This would then open doors to integration & partnerships with larger companies, or even a clean buyout from those companies. CA-CHING! :) Get Busy! :(
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 - Is this a Modaco Blog Replacement? No... - Could this be configured to blog to WordPress, Movable Type, Typepad, etc Blogs, as a second author, or to a side blog? Yes, an interface to the MoDaCo Blog (how about you could have your own blog, then your phone has one too) plus an interface to any blogger API blog? - If Location data will be full featured, could the data be manipulated in other ways, like CellTrack, for sigs or sidebars, etc. (All with a little modaco link) ;) Theoretically, the difficult thing is getting the CELLID to work with - I don't know how :) P
