really slow wifi on m3100

Hi all,

the m3100 is my first ever wifi device, and I am having a really hard time to hook up to my work wifi.

My IT guys have set it all up, with a specific IP and stuff, and made sure that all the firewalls etc are good. But even though I have really good signal (i am standing next to the wifi box) the internet is sooooo slow. My friend who has a nokia n80 was able to get normal speed wifi from further away.

Please help.... I am a complete novice when it comes to wifi, and it makes my head hurt......

Mine works fine. Go to Comm Manager, then click Menu, WLAN settings and one of the tabs gives you a slider between max performance and max battery, slide it all the way to max performance.

I am assuming that I am getting wireless G on mine as it seems fast enough.

(Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me can confirm that the 3100 comes with G enabled by default).
