Cingular 2125 How to delete *.lnk files

Does anyone know how to delete *.lnk and *.gif files from the Windows\StartMenu?

Thanks for the reply. I saw that post you mentioned and found several useful tips. However, I did not find a reference in that post or at MoDaCo Forum (I did various searches) on how to deleted *.lnk, *.gif and other useless files from the StartMenu and Windows directories. Any Suggestions? Thanks and I do very much enjoy the site.
