From which theme can I find those? By the way, I see that your birthday's coming, advance happy birthday! :)

Guest Swampie
Is the 400MHz processor requirement enforced, or just listed as a minimum spec and anything slower will be very poor. Just interested how much it would work on a Wizard - might be useful for the IM side etc. If it refuses to install, then there's no point in even trying. Thanks
Guest dearsina
What will be really interesting is how it performs on a 3G network, voice quality in particular. Anybody with a MDA II fancy giving it a go?
Guest Phil Lee
What I'd like to see is SMS support like in the current version of PC Skype.
Guest dleasman
Any news for the smartphone version? :) Unfortunately, today's smartphone's don't have enough processor power to run skype. A friend of mine was able to run the PPC version on his Tornado (tmobile sda), but it did not work very well, and it's difficult to dial and such, because the software was written with a touchscreen in mind, which most smartphones do not have. Perhaps the next generation smarphones will be more skype friendly, but the current models just don't have the muscle.
Guest Swampie
Well, I put it on my Wizard and it works... sort of... Chat/IM works fine. Voice calls have heavy lag. I was using ActiveSync connection (so via PC to internet), not GPRS/wireless and there was a little lag on incoming voice - but outgoing voice was quite a heavy lag. I counted 1-10 at second intevals, and it was about 2-3 seconds of lag. No idea what the quality was like. But using it on a Wizard for just IM/Chat via Skype should be fine. Not tried overclocking the processor and seeing how it runs.
Guest acsguitar
Someone needs to edit down a version for the smartphone. There is a tutorial on getting it to work on a smartphone with the PC version I believe. http://oregonstate.edu/%7Ekeiterk/?p=9 Need to OC your proc to get it to work and I think you can only make outgoing calls but still hey free calls are good. I've heard good things but still probably needs some work
Guest darrellr
Skype have released a Beta of version 2.1 of their Pocket PC client! Stupid Q given the PPC mips available and the changelog but .... I assume the PPC version is voice-only? Anyone tell me of any app. that can allow a PPC Phone (ie Hermes) to be able to 'video conference' with a webcam equipped laptop over the internet (Wireless, UMTS, HSPDA, etc)? Guest plainz
Is it possible to run skype through tor (http://tor.eff.org/) on a PPC? For that matter can tor be run at all? I will soon go t-mobile wnw but there are many things they dislike.( VOIP, msgs) but if i can run skype through tor then what i do they will not know. I know it's possible on pc (http://torandskype.blogspot.com/) but I haven't seen anything about on a ppc.

I tried the PPC version of Skype on my HTC Tornada (imate SP5) and it worked quiet well. The only reason it wasn't practical is because it was hard to use using the buggy mouse pointer program that simulated taps. Otherwise it ran fairly well. Thats on a TI OMAP 200Mhz processor.
