HTC TyTN Problems

got my TyTn !!

very nice device...........although.............

some instant problems

1. storage card not recognised when inserted, you have to soft reset to get it to recognise it's there.... it's a SANDISK 1gb that worked perfectly well in my smartphone (QTEK 8500)

2. left it on charge over night and next morning went to switch it on and the power button had no effect..... i have the unit on 'lock all except....' but the power button simply did not turn the unit on......... soft reset powered it back up again..........as it was 1st thing, i didn't try to see if a phone call or alarm would wake it up so next time it locks i will try

any of the sexy m3100's suffering with any of the above???? could it be ROM related???

hope it's sorted, want to use it as my main phone but may have to relegate to my data PDA and casual phone if it is not reliable in switching on !!!

Got a TyTN since july..

Following problems I encountered,

* same as above poster, after a full charge.. just went "dead".. nothing anymore.. replug the battery, power on, and worked again

* sometimes the TyTN seems so scan for signals very quickly (boosting), which drains the battery VERY quickly if this keeps on going for some hours. (probably the cause of the first problem above)

* suddenly incoming calls don't generate any sound anymore (not a setting mistake).. it does show the "incoming call", after restart, works again

* suddenly just impossible to make calls, or receive calls.. even after restart.. this required a new device (RMA process). Some details: calls in GSM/GPRS mode DO work, only when UMTS is available in your location, the device just doesn't connect outgoing calls.. or doesn't receive incoming calls.

The device itself is nice, although the keyboard of the Qtek 9100 is nicer.

When typing "fast" on the HTC keyboard, some keys just don't appear on the screen.. so you need to firmly tap the keyboard to get the characters on the screen.
