Motorola Q Data Connection

I just got a Motorola Q phone, but when I try to access the mail or internet I get the following message, can some one help? "Login error. Ensure you have the corrrect login information and try again"

Contact your carrier (I assume VZW, but it may be Telus in Canada). When I had that problem is was something wrong on the carrier's end, and they had to redo my data connection.
