SplashBlog - probably great, but doesn't work (for me ?)

Hi,

SplashBlog seems to be one of the very few (if not the only ?) software for Photo Blogging on the Smartphone platform.

Unfortunately on my smartphone (Qtek 8300, same as imate SP5m) it does not work at all :-(

That's what I did:

Registering for a free account on their website.

Downloading and installing the software on the smartphone (tried out both: memory and card).

Trying to set up the program and establishing a connection.

Immediately after trying that I get the following error:

"SplashBlog was unable to establish a connection

(0x0)."

Has anyone out there encountered the same or a similar problem ?

Or in other words: Has anyone with the same or a similar smartphone (recent WM5 AKU2) managed to get a working connection ?

My phone type: Qtek 8300 (same as imate SP5m and various other)

OS: Windows Mobile 5 with AKU2 update (incl. DirectPush)

I am using the German localized version of WM5 (but I do not think this

causes the problem).

The problem occurs disregard if the software is installe in memory or

storage card.

The network connection otherwise is properly configured and works.

Hoping for feedback !
