Backlight turning itself off whilst typing a message

This has happened about 3 times now:

When typing a message using the keyboard, the backlight turns itself off for half a second and then back on again. It's definitely not flickering - just turning off and then on again very quickly. Once it starts it will carry on doing every few key presses in that message. But then will be fine for the next few messages sent.

It seems to be related to pressing the keys rather than just randomly - if I stop typing then it stops happening.

Happen to anyone else?

that happened a couple of times on the 2nd TyTN unit I had. I didnt think much of it to be honest...but now that you mention it it was always in landscape mode whilst using the keyboard.

It would certainly bother me, what's causing that then? ROM update needed perhaps?

Whilst I'm almost certain this can't be the case if Paul's experiencing the problem, this wouldn't be to do with the time-out setting on the backlight, would it? (No, of course not, but gotta stick it in there)
