Guest xspyda Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 I started messing with Push Email on my Vario (when I had it) ... and that was some time back. Since getting rid of the Vario, I have had no use for the mail2web service but unfortunately I forgot to cancel the mail forward from my domain! Every email I have received to my domain since has been copied to my mail2web account and now I have 2361 mails in the inbox. I need a quick way of deleting all of these if anyone has any suggestions? I want to set up push email for the c600 but I want to remove everything in my mail2web inbox first. There is no box to 'select all' that I can see and no option to empty a folder entirely. Suggestions appreciated ... Thanks.
Guest slimgym Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 The "premium" login which has the preview pane for the message at least allows you to highlight a page of messages and then delete them all. Could still take you some time though. I don't see you can use pop3 into it either - I got a logon but it told me my account was disabled (though I had just used the web front no problems).
Guest jimbouk Posted August 19, 2006 Report Posted August 19, 2006 Don't know mail2web but can you use pop to pull that mail down to outlook? If so set it up in outlook not to leave a copy on the server and then send/receive. If you need to keep outlook clean, then set up a new profile, or move all your normal mail into an archive, get the stuff from mail2web, delete it all, then move your proper mail back again.
Guest xspyda Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 'fraid pop3 isn't offered as an option so short of contacting them direct and asking them to remove all mail server side I don't see that there is a lot I can do... apart from sign up another account (which I have). My domain points to the mail2web account anyway so it's all transparent to anyone emailing me, therefore the username doesn't really matter. Thanks for the suggestions.

You can do a shift-select to highlight all of the messages displayed, and then delete them that way. Unfortunately mail2web only displays 25 messages at a time, so it'll take a while, but it's better than one at a time...
