Guest awarner (MVP) Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 TomTom 5 Mobile for Smartphone and as for GPS you can only buy TomTom with the TomTom GPS so you do not need to look at other GPS units. http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php...&Language=1
Guest Mapindo Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 TomTom 5 Mobile for Smartphone and as for GPS you can only buy TomTom with the TomTom GPS so you do not need to look at other GPS units. http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php...&Language=1 Hi! I had a PDA with TT Mobile Navigator 5 and now i planned to buy the Samsung i300 device. Can i use this Software?
Guest Pondrew Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Nope. TomTom Navigator is Pocket PC software and will not work on Smartphone. TomTom Mobile is the Smartphone equivalent and as stated comes with Bluetooth GPS.
Guest killerost Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 (edited) If you have a device running wm5, not even the newest version (that is 5.2) works 100%. But don't start crying just yet cause the NEW Tomtom 6 Navigator will soon hit the shops near you. This time Tomtom has released Tomtom as a multi-platform tool, working on both smartphones and pocketpcs. Tomtom 6 has already made it's way to the warez community.. "everyone" (at least pocketpc owners) tought it was "pocketpc only" because of the stylus controlled interface. But what the designers have done in a very clever way is that when pocketpc owners has to press a certain place on the screen, we have to press a certain button.. it's almost magical how the exact same exe file can work so well on both platforms. Before the release of Wm5, m$ was talking about merging the two platforms together but it never happened. This release of Tomtom 6 navigator makes me actually believe that the two platforms will be merged in the next release of windows mobile. So to answer your question: Tomtom 6 will work on your phone and will be available soon. Probably with the very nice tomtom mk2 gps bundeled. Edited September 14, 2006 by killerost
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 TomTom 6 is not multi-platform format, there is still PocketPC (Navigator) and Mobile.
