Guest jimbouk Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 So how many new Vario 2 owners will be starting threads tomorrow -= either to discuss the T rom or to cover stuff that has already been discussed in depth with 3100's, 1605's, Tytn's etc? I'll guess eleven!
Guest FragMeister Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 I reckon: * at least 3 on why it has a micro SD card. * 5 threads on how it has a funny connector thing for the headphones - and whether a Moto Razr usb adaptor will fit. * a couple about whether WnW or WnW Pro has HDSPA * oh, and all 60 people posting a new topic saying "Mine just arrived" :D :D :D :D
Guest Snoopstah Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 * oh, and all 60 people posting a new topic saying "Mine just arrived" No way. We'll have a complaint about the postman putting a card through the door and not ringing the bell. We'll have a complaint about one not turning up by 1pm. We'll have a complaint about one of them being DoA. ... :D
Guest FlangeArtist Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 No way. We'll have a complaint about the postman putting a card through the door and not ringing the bell. We'll have a complaint about one not turning up by 1pm. We'll have a complaint about one of them being DoA. ... :D 1 Million Gajillion...BWhahahahahaha... No, I do reccon that there will be about 5-10, of which each one will end up having near enough the same content. Perhaps some of the administrators should pre-empt it, and get some threads started early and to the point?
Guest matho Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 (edited) I predict a rather vague 'several' on the following range of topics:Is the colouring really that bad?"It looks better in the flesh"What are the real restrictions on 'unlimited' data usage? What serial number did you get and can we concoct any vague correlations between serial number and possible build issues? Why did we wait so long? (When its been available from other networks since the beginning of July) What speeds are you getting on HSDPA/HDSPA/HSPDA? :D :D Edited August 21, 2006 by matho
Guest jimbouk Posted August 21, 2006 Report Posted August 21, 2006 I am looking forward to the first post to confirm that someone had told someone else that THAT colour is a result of intensive research into the electro-radio resistivity of coatings and the recent finding by the University of Waga Waga that a pink device actually reduce the timelag for the radio signal to pass through the coating, whereas dark coatings block the radio waves...so HSDPA only works properly on the V2! (And yes I am expecting lots of posts from very happy V2 owners tomorrow who will be posting from the pub/pavement/train at 1mb)
Guest Fleabag Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 I have to admit after using one today that the colour really isn't that bad. In fact I really like it. Although I would prefer it in black!
Guest peekie Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 yes alot of new topics here and mirrored on mobihilics as well, i guess 5 on modaco and 2 on mobiholics :D
Guest matho Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 So who claims the sweep then? I reckon most of my predictions (and everyone else's!) came true, although perhaps not all as individual threads themselves!!

Guest stern Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 (edited) Eh? Who you on about? You FlangeArtist, Genius :D Edited August 23, 2006 by stern
Guest FlangeArtist Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 You FlangeArtist, Genius :D Actucally, for me, in the depth's of time, when I took the persona "FlangeArtist", the term 'Flange' was a mechanical engineering term. However, from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, the term now has some 'bad' connotations! Darned british culture. They keep using 'good' words, and turn them into 'bad' words! --------------------------------------- For the sound effect, see Flanging. A flange is an external or internal rib, or rim, for strength, as the flange of an iron beam or I-beam; or for a guide, as the flange of a train wheel; or for attachment to another object, as the flange on the end of a pipe, steam cylinder, etc. Thus a flanged rail is a rail with a flange on one side to keep wheels, etc., from running off. The term "flange" is also used for a kind of tool used to form flanges. A flange can also be a plate or ring to form a rim at the end of a pipe when fastened to the pipe (for example, a closet flange). A blind flange is a plate for covering or closing the end of a pipe. A flange joint is a joint, as that of pipes, where the connecting pieces have flanges by which the parts are bolted together. Other uses of flange The flange is also the underside of a golf club. Flange is also British vulgar slang for v*****. After a Not the Nine O'Clock News sketch "Gerald the Intelligent Gorilla" used flange as a comic collective noun for baboons the usage has stuck and gained popularity. Guest Prosody Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 Actucally, for me, in the depth's of time, when I took the persona "FlangeArtist", the term 'Flange' was a mechanical engineering term. Still used as a mechanical term too, I often get a good laugh when I'm revising Electronic copies of Rolls Royce Engine Manuals at work. shaft is another frequent one... :D
