Update SP3 with C500 ROM

i have tried updating my Imate SP3 with the Orange C500 Rom, it updates fine but once it has updated it still loads up with all the Imate logos etc, Could someone tell me if i am doing this right?

the bootloader is more restrictive on the imate rom so it wont let you change the ROM, you'll have to downgrade your bootloader to the one that comes with the original orange release ROM before you can flash the current orange ROM

download the orange original rom for c500 HERE (sorry mods for the direct link but the original link page has disappeared :D )

then download typhoonnbftools from HERE

make sure your phone is app unlocked etc. using winRAR extract RUU_v0.995_OrangeUK_v4.1.1.4.exe to a folder and you should find a file with the extension NBF. hen with your phone activesynced run typhoonnbftools and open the nbf. right click on SPL and choose emergency flash. click ok through all the warnings etc at it'll downgrade your bootloader.

run the lastest orange rom update utility again :D

thanks mate, also do you know where i can get a copy of the latest qtek 8010 rom as my qtek 8010's imei is not accepted on the site

no idea mate, had similar trials geting my hands on a qtek 8310 AKU2 ROM
