JAVA MIDlet Font Issue (AKU2 related?)

I have recently upgraded my t-mobile MDA with the AKU2 update, and seem to be having some issues with the fonts using Java apps with MIDlet Manager.

With both Opera Mini and Reporo, the font seems to be a Courier type serif font whereas previously it was a san-serif font that was very readable even in small point sizes. This has made Opera nearly unusable.

Has anyone else had this issue, and is there a fix?

Also the default behaviour seems to be to ask multiple times when an application accesses the Internet, previously it only asked once.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated. It doesn't feel like much of an upgrade :D
