Guest Krib Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 I'm having a weird problem with my phone where I will be using an application, and suddenly find myself looking at the homescreen, the app is gone. It's like the apps just drop out on me. They don't seem to be crashing, because they continue to load in the background and I can switch back into them. I'm not sure what could be causing this. My first thought was that it was a stuck key, because I had a situation the other day where the backlight wouldn't turn off, it wasn't timing out. A restart fixed that though. Other info: I can duplicate the app problems in Resco File Explorer and Image Viewer, as well as in Pocket IE. There is a lock icon in the top bar of my start menu suddenly, it appeared around the time this started happening, I'm including that just for the sake of thoroughness, no idea if it is related. This is a 2 month old phone with no prior issues, nothing happened to cause this... it just has started acting wonky. The phone is app-unlocked, and has a 2gig mini-SD card. Any advice on how to troubleshoot would be much appreciated. Hardware? Software? Should I wipe to factory? Thanks in advance.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 What do you have installed? If you have a REALLY memory hungry app in the background, it could cause this... P
