Guest Retorb Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 I've recently got an SDA II from T-Mobile which is supposed to be able to use Wi-Fi Connections. Whenever I go online it always seems to use my GPRS connection. How do I get the phone to use Wi-Fi??? It's me first smartphone so keep it simple if possible :D
Guest jimbouk Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Do you have a wifi access point? Is wifi switched on in your device?
Guest Retorb Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Do you have a wifi access point? Is wifi switched on in your device? Yes I do have access, I have a wireless netwrok in my house which is discoverable by new devices so that shouldn't be a problem. Don't know how to check if wifi is switched on as it doesn't seem to say how to anywhere in the instruction manual. Also, looking around on forums, it looks as though i need to go into comm manager which I also can't find
Guest Pondrew Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 The T-Mobile UK SDA II Smartphone is an HTC Hurricane and does not feature wifi. Sorry! You probably confused it with the T-Mobile USA SDA which being an HTC Tornado (despite having a similar case) does include wifi hardware.

Well that'll be why i can't find it then! :D Guess I'll have to try and get T-Mobile to swap it for An MDA Vario then.
Guest Retorb Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Thanks a lot for helping by the way :D
