Guest jimbouk Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Quickest way to see if its any of them, is to remove them all (in remove programs). If that doesn't work, a hard reset will clear out all registry entries from their installation (along with everything else!).

Guest jimbouk Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 You can load pocket messenger with msn messenger, there are various threads about it.

Guest eaglesrest Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 hello my m3100 periodically locks up when its asleep and won't come back in to life.. the yellow LED shows it is still on the network, but the thing is dead. not even ringing it will make it wake up - i have to pull out the battery and power up again. very annoying.. anyone else had this? I have exactly the same problem. Its when it turns off - pressing the power button doesn't make any difference and only a soft reset corrects it. Agile Messenger was installed but I've removed it, reset, and the problem still persists. Does yours still have a problem?
Guest Dade Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 I'm also having this problem. I have only Agile and Opera installed. I have a feeling it could be agile messenger causing the problem!

I have a feeling it could be agile messenger causing the problem! i had both installed but i didnt notice the issue until after agile installed. uninstalling made no difference ut hard reset has cured it. all previous sw reinstalled except agile and its ok.

I've noticed Phone Pad causes problems too
Guest Dakers Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 I've got this issue too, but I don't have Agile Messenger installed. I'll leave my phone to go to sleep quite happily at night, and then when I woke up this morning, it was just flashing it's little green light at me. I couldn't persuade it to wake up at all initially, but after some random button pushing, I could see the Today screen, but not backlit, if that makes sense? It was showing a time of 9:28pm, but frozen. Eventually I had to soft reset it and it came back to life, giving me my alarm set for 7am at 9:13am. I'm seriously tempted to buy a travel alarm clock to carry round with me! Normally I'd be happy to ride out this and the other issues I'm having with it, but as my N80 decided to brick itself on Friday, I'm back down in boring monochrome phone world, and not too sure about trusting my Vario II with everything. These are the other posts I've looked at, but I haven't been charging my phone overnight: http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...=wake&st=20 http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...=wake&st=20
Guest scoobytwo Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 i had batti installed on mine. since uninstalling it i dont seem to have anymore lock ups.
Guest Dakers Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Hmmm, I haven't had Batti on this machine since it's hard reset, so I can't point the finger at that. As my number doesn't get ported until tomorrow I'll try another hard reset today and see if I can duplicate the issue before I start putting any of my proper data on it. I think the only pieces of software common across the machine were maybe pRSSReader and SBSH.net PocketWeather. I haven't got around to re-setting up my RSS feeds again since the last hard reset, so PocketWeather might be a culprit. Strange that it'll only do it overnight and not during the day tho?
