Guest chetzy Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Ok guys, ive tried searching for answer, but couldnt find what i was looking for, basically...... Can you get HSPDA on the standard W'N'W ? seems like no at moment, also on xda developers there is a reg hack which enables this, will this mean i can manually enable the service or does T-mobile need to do this?
Guest jimbouk Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 The current thinking on here is that HSDPA is enabled on all T's data plans. Your handset should have it enabled by default but you might need to ask T to activate it on your account. I don't know if anyone has confirmed that their entire (HA!) 3G network is HSDPA enabled.
Guest Pondrew Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Well, in anticipation of getting an HTC Hermes I've just talked to T-Mobile Data Team who have added HSDPA Uplink to my old Web N Walk 40meg tariff. This seems to verify that any data tariff can have it added. Don't know for sure if the new Web N Walk will come with HSDPA automatically enabled. You'd hope so...
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 I had it added yesterday too, no problem. Just ask for 'HSDPA 384k Uplink' to be added to your account, there is no charge. P
Guest Pondrew Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 If I do manage to get hold of a Hermes, mobile broadband at
Guest chetzy Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 did you add it via customer services? I tried to add it but they said its only available on the w'n'w Pro, should i just re-call and retry.?
