Guest sda_newbie Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 I come of the old days when you are not suppose to recharge your battery until you have fully (or close to) depleeding the battery due to the memory properties of the old NiCad batteries. So I am still a bit hesitant when charging my equipments when the battery is not fully drained even though most equipments now have Lithium-Ion batteries that are suppose to be stateless and should allow you to charge whenever you want. My question is how many of you constantly charge your phone even when the battery is not low? Do you see any negative side affects (like gradual reduction in battery life)?
Guest tnad Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 My phone is connected to my laptop most of the time. So it rarely drops below 80%. I'm also curious about whether this has negative efeects on the battery life.
Guest FerretAD Posted August 26, 2006 Report Posted August 26, 2006 I've noticed with my C550, if I go a week, without letting it drop below 80%, then it seems to degrade the battery life - But then I fully drain the battery, and fully charge it, and it seems to be fine again. Dunno whether my battery is duff or not.
